The essentials of medical geology, a new scientific branch, are examined and presented in a monograph “Introduc-tion to Medical Geology”, published under the editorship of Professor G. I. Rudko. Each monograph section in a report-ed short summary gradually characterizes an interaction in the system “geological environment – human”. The signifi-cance and importance of further development of medical geology as a scientific branch have been substantiated
