Purpose. The comprehensive assessment of the local recreational areas in the basin of Seversky Donets River within Kharkov region for prioritizing of development a summer short rest facilities without compromising the environment. Methods are based on the approach developed by the author, of prioritizing the development of recreational activities in the local areas, taking into account environmental and economic characteristics. Results. Designed classification and grading scale are the basis for assessing the resources and services of water bodies, forests, aesthetic appeal, territorial and transport accessibility of potential recreational areas. Comprehensive assessment, taking into account both natural and environmental and economic conditions of the territories, carried out for 6 plots in the coastal zone Seversky Donets River. Selecting areas was carried out taking into account the hydrographic, hydrological, climatic criteria and recreational demand. Conclusions. Based on the assessment were selected two local areas, the most promising for the placement of small recreational facilities.

The article presents the results of a comprehensive assessment of the ecological state of water objects Basin Donets using indicators that characterize the level of anthropogenic pollution of abiotic and biotic components of aquatic ecosystems. It is shown that water quality in the 25 cross-sections of rivers Seversky Donets, Uda, Lopan, Kharkiv, Oskol, Nemyshlya, Suhoy Torets and Pechenga and Krasnooskolskogo reservoirs in 2011 - 2012 did not meet the standards of fishery MPC (the state of the abiotic component), and in 52% of cases (2011) and 64% (2012) did not meet the quality standards for ecotoxicological indicator (status of biotic components of aquatic ecosystems). The poor ecological state of water objects Basin Donets is the result of discharge to surface water bodies basin wastewater contaminated with environmentally hazardous chemicals.

Presented are the results of field and analytical stages of studies on evaluation of the current state of eroded soils ravine-beam system «Мitrishin Ravine» Dergachi district, Kharkiv region. It is established that the soil cover in the studied areas is represented by variety of eroded and formed soil surface soil formation, and defined forest vegetative properties of soil data. It is shown that the lands of ravine-beam system «Мitrishin Ravine» currently runs at a constant process of soil formation, without the active manifestations of erosion processes, which is confirmed by the results of the analytical definitions of granulometric composition, the level of acidity, total humus and gross forms of NPK.
